The purpose of the commission is to actively promote, foster, and coordinate public and private initiatives that foster a sustainable and resilient economy to create capital, diversify the economy, and use economic capacity in ways that strengthen the local workforce and improve the Borough community’s standard of living, quality of life, self-reliance, and the sustainability of the Borough’s diverse urban and rural lifestyles.
