The director shall have responsibility for issuing street addresses and maintaining a street address system for the Borough and enforcing this chapter. Nothing in this chapter should be interpreted to prevent the director from deviating on a case-by-case basis from the standards, principles, and methods described below when necessary to produce a more consistent and logical addressing system that promotes public safety and rapid emergency response.
