A. The Borough Mayor or an employee, or an immediate family member, may not attempt to acquire, receive, apply for, be a party to, or have a personal or financial interest in a Borough grant, contract, or lease if they take or withhold official action that affects the award, execution, or administration of the grant, contract, or lease.

B. To the extent this section applies to Borough employees, the Mayor may formally waive this section after determining that it is in the best interest of the Borough to do so. Any waiver of this section shall be in writing and shall set forth the reasons for the waiver. The waiver shall be forwarded to the Presiding Officer, to be confirmed by the Assembly.
