The commission shall afford an opportunity for the public to be heard before reporting to the Assembly any recommendation that changes the compensation of an elected official. At least every two years, but not more frequently than every year, the commission shall review the compensation of elected officials. The commission shall render its recommendations with respect to salaries not later than 75 days before the end of the fiscal year of the municipality. (Ord. 79-31 § 2, 1979. 2004 Code § 2.22.040.)
