The base flood elevation is the elevation of the one percent annual chance flood as identified on the Fairbanks North Star Borough Flood Insurance Rate Maps. In those cases where said maps do not identify an elevation, the director shall obtain, review, and reasonably utilize any base flood elevation data and floodway data available from a federal, state or other source, including base flood elevation data developed as a requirement for submitting a new subdivision or other development proposal under this title.
