A. The word “shall” is mandatory and not discretionary.

B. The word “may” is permissive.

C. Words and phrases not specifically defined shall be construed according to the rules of grammar and according to their common and approved usage. Undefined technical words and phrases which have acquired a peculiar and appropriate meaning shall be construed according to the peculiar and appropriate meaning including any relevant industry standard.
